Azerbaijani reps to observe Kazakh election

Kazakhstan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered another 20 foreign observers, including two Azerbaijani representatives, for the parliamentary election to be held March 20, the CEC said March 1.

Moreover, two more observers from the CIS and four observers from the OSCE/ODIHR missions, two observers from Georgia, Latvia, Malaysia, Russia, Estonia and Armenia each, have been registered by Kazakhstan’s CEC.

Thus, 175 observers from the OSCE/ODIHR, CIS, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and eight countries have been accredited in Kazakhstan as of March 1.

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry has accredited 112 foreign media representatives from 26 states as of Feb.29.

The accreditation of foreign observers will continue until March 14.

The following parties will participate in the parliamentary election in Kazakhstan: Nur Otan, Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan, People's Democratic Patriotic Party "Aul", the Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan, the Nationwide Social Democratic Party and the Birlik party.
