Kazakh president hopes to sign treaty on alliance with Russia
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev hopes to sign a
comprehensive treaty on good-neighborliness and alliance with
Russia for the 21th century this year, the presidential
press-service reported.
Nazarbayev made such a statement within the meeting with his
Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the Supreme Eurasian Economic
Council's session on May 29.
"Our aim is developing mutual trade and strengthening the Customs
Union. Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan also have some interest (in these
issues). Their heads who arrived to Astana have a good opportunity
to get acquainted with the progress of the integration process for
further actions."
