Kazakhstan and Ukraine will discuss the cooperation prospects between the two countries during Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's visit to Astana, a source in the Ukrainian Embassy in Astana told Trend news agency on May 27.

According to the preliminary data, the Ukrainian President will visit Kazakhstan on May 28-29.

"During the visit, the president must take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to be held in Astana on May 28-29 with the participation of the leaders of the Customs Union's countries."

"A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be first held in the trilateral format - Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus," the interlocutor said. "The leaders of Ukraine and perhaps Kyrgyzstan will also join."

It was previously reported that Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus must sign an Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Community in May 2014 and announce about the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union from 2015.
