Raising issue of Shia-Sunni dispute aimed at sowing discord
among Muslims, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday
stressing the need for strengthening solidarity among world
Muslims, Trend news agency reported referring to IRNA agency.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the first ever Quran contest
between armed forces of the Islamic countries, President
Ahmadinejad said, "all disputes over ethnic, factional and tribal
issues were caused by the Devil."
The President added, "Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the holy Quran
belong not only to Muslims but also to all humanity and followers
of different religions including Christians and Jews."
He further underlined that the World of Islam needed "unity more
than ever."
