Boeing 737 cargo plane runs off runway at Russia’s Norilsk Airport

A Boeing 737 cargo aircraft veered off the runway while landing at Norilsk Airport in Russia, Russian media reported.

AzerNEWS informs that the aircraft, operated by Russian airline S7 Airlines (Sibir), was reportedly flying from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to Norilsk.

Two crew members and cargo were on board the aircraft. No injuries were reported.

The aircraft was damaged in the incident, while the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

The circumstances and cause of the incident are currently under investigation.

Authorities have also launched an inspection to determine whether the airline complied with aviation safety regulations.
