US may impose new sanctions against banks and oil and gas sector of Russia

The United States may further expand sanctions on Russia, said Duleep Singh, deputy director of the White House National Economic Council, in an interview with CBS News, Trend reports citing Interfax.
According to him, the sanctions may affect "strategically important areas of the Russian economy". "This mainly concerns oil and gas, but there are other sectors," he said.
