American Valmont Industries intends to enter Uzbek market

The American company Valmont Industries intends to enter the market of Uzbekistan and implement a pilot project in one of the country's regions, Uzbek media reports.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the U.S. Javlon Vakhabov held negotiations with the vice-president of Valmont Industries Joshua Dixon.

Joshua Dixon as part of the Valmont delegation visited Tashkent in November 2018 and met with the leadership of the ministries of water and agriculture, as well as a number of farmers who are interested in the technological solutions of this company.

Following the conversation, parties reached an agreement on the special visit organization of Joshua Dixon to Uzbekistan in February 2019. Vice-president will hold a detailed presentation of Valmont sprinkling irrigation technologies and equipment, followed by installation in a test mode in one of the districts of the region.

The American company also intends to provide Uzbek farmers with access to Valley University's electronic knowledge portal, which is a certified distance learning system in the fields of agronomy, irrigation, water conservation and water distribution systems.

Valmont Industries, Inc. is a leading producer and distributor of products and services for the infrastructure and agricultural markets.

Diplomatic relations between the United States and Uzbekistan were established on February 19, 1992.

Thanks to active cooperation with American companies, two countries managed to increase the bilateral trade by almost two times and bring it to $332 million in January-September 2018.

Currently, more than 200 enterprises with the participation of U.S. companies are successfully operating in Uzbekistan. American capital took part in the creation of 25 enterprises since the beginning of 2018.
