Ruling party sure for victory in upcoming elections

Azerbaijan’s ruling party believes it will succeed in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
MP Siyavush Novruzov, the deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party said the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, which triumphed in all electoral campaigns in the country, no doubt will also succeed in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Under the Azerbaijani constitution, the elections will be held on Sunday in the first week of November.
He said the current realities of Azerbaijan and the work carried out by President Ilham Aliyev provide the foundation for this victory.
Novruzov added that NAP prepares for parliamentary elections at the highest level.
“If to consider that the organization of preparation at the highest level is the beginning of victory, it is necessary to make more efforts,” he said.
The official further added that relevant instructions and recommendations were given at the nationwide meeting of chairmen of city and district organizations of the NAP.
“The Party aims to organize a high-level preparatory work, actively participate in the elections, improve the image of NAP as a party-winner and achieve even greater success. The NAP spares no effort to ensure a happy future for the Azerbaijani people and we will continue to work in this direction. We believe that the NAP, winning another victory in the parliamentary elections, will be able to realize the goals,” Novruzov said.
The New Azerbaijan Party was established at the initiative and with active participation of Azerbaijani intellectuals during the period of hardship of the Azerbaijan history, when the country was undergoing serious ordeal.
The conference, which gathered the representatives of all the regions of Azerbaijan, was held November 21, 1992 with national leader Heydar Aliyev presiding at the event. The Constituent Assembly approved the decision on the establishment of the party, the party's program and its statute. Heydar Aliyev was unanimously elected as a chairman of the party.
NAP is a center-right political party, which functions within the Constitution and legislation of Azerbaijan, on the basis of its statute and program and affiliates the citizens who share the ideas of the legal state and stable, social-oriented economy and want to build a civil society.
