The logo of European Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastic has been officially presented by the organizing committee.

The presented logo depicts a girl holding a hoop, symbolizing the Championship itself and emphasizing the status of Baku as the capital of the rhythmic gymnastics from June 13 to 15.

The blue color of the logo personifies the color of the Caspian Sea, lying at the foot of Azerbaijan's capital.

The European Championships on Gymnastics will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena - art facility in Baku, the construction of which has already entered the final stage.

This great event will bring together athletes from over 30 countries who will be accommodated in the future Olympic Village built for the first European Games 2015, to be held in Baku.

The Championship will be covered both by local and foreign media.

Program of the event will cover performances as of seniors in individual, all-around and exercises for group teams and of juniors both in individual and team events.

Rhythmic gymnastics was particularly boosted after Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva become President of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation in 2002 and with her involvement in developing and popularizing gymnastics sport disciplines in Azerbaijan.

Three World Cup events (2003, 2004 and 2005), the World Championships (2005), two European Championships (2007, 2009) and several International competitions in rhythmic gymnastics were organized in Baku. Azerbaijani gymnasts became European Champions, won medals at the World Championships, and participated in Olympic Games.
