Azerbaijan`s top diplomat meets Swiss minister
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Swiss counterpart Didier Burkhalter on the sidelines of the 68th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 68) in New York , Azertag state news agency reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed relations between the
two countries.
Didier Burkhalter congratulated Elmar Mammadyarov on the selection
of TAP project and noted that the project would contribute to
energy supply of the European countries.
Mammadyarov briefed the Swiss FM on the current state of the peace
talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,
and stressed the necessity of withdrawal of the Armenian armed
forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied territories.
Burkhalter also provided information about his country`s priorities
during the OSCE presidency in 2014.
