Azerbaijan launches centralized catering management at boarding schools

Azerbaijan has launched centralized catering management in boarding
schools, high schools and gymnasiums under the Education Ministry,
the ministry said.
Proper diet menu has been prepared for special boarding schools
under the ministry (for children with physical and mental
disabilities, etc.).
The centralized catering management is intended to keep under the
control the implementation of sanitary and epidemiological and
hygienic requirements in accordance with international and local
standards, and quickly fix drawbacks.
Rational and balanced diet is one of the main and effective factors to ensure a healthy and harmonious development of children.
The new system will take into account children's age, calorific
value and vitamin content of food.
The Cabinet adopted a relevant decision to regulate the activity of
intraschool catering facilities in an effort to better protect the
health of secondary school students.
