State support crucial for e-media: Azeri watchdog
BAKU – Head of Azerbaijan’s press watchdog has said state support is a must for the development of electronic media in Azerbaijan.
Online journalism is supported by the government in some countries, including Russia, Press Council chairman Aflatun Amashov told journalists Monday.
He said the Council is working on a document that will reflect the state of online journalism in Azerbaijan, seeking to address their problems and find solutions.
Amashov added that an international conference devoted to the development and use of the Internet is due in Baku in September.
