NATO interested in further partnership with Azerbaijan, its chief says
BAKU – NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen met on Friday the head of Azerbaijan's mission to NATO Khazar Ibrahim. Rasmussen expressed intention to further develop partnership with Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's mission to NATO reported.
The Secretary General said an active partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO, as well as Azerbaijan's merits in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan are commendable.
Ambassador Ibrahim underlined a long and successful history of Azerbaijan’s cooperation with the Alliance and stressed recent efforts to provide much needed training for Afghanistan. He also presented his assessment of the regional issues.
