Turkish defense firms’ exports to Azerbaijan $267m in 2010
ANKARA – Two Turkish defense industry companies exported goods totaling $267 million to Azerbaijan in 2010, Turkey’s defense ministry said.
Missile manufacturer Roketsan implemented a $244m export agreement with Azerbaijan, while major automotive manufacturer Otokar began implementing a deal worth $23m on supplying Cobra armored vehicles and Land Rover Defender vehicles to the South Caucasus republic.
Also, Turkey’s Dearsan shipyard began building a vessel last year under a $120m order from Turkmenistan, a Caspian littoral state.
