Aliyev examines growth in Baku settlements

BAKU – President Ilham Aliyev has visited settlements outside the capital, Baku, to examine the enforcement of his orders issued at a government meeting early in March devoted to their social and economic development, the state television channel AzTV reported.

During a visit to a residential area in the Zabrat settlement settled by over 7,500 people, the mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalibov informed President Aliyev with the work being done by the authorities there. Abutalibov said an overhaul of the roads connecting settlements has begun on the president’s instructions. Aliyev also met with Zabrat residents.

Further, the president familiarized himself with the work being done in the Bulbule village of the Surakhany district and met with local residents. Aliyev also visited the Atashgah temple, an ancient fire worshipping site, where he examined the ongoing rehabilitation work.
