Turkmen envoy dies suddenly
BAKU – Turkmen Ambassador to Azerbaijan Annamamed Mamedov has died, according to his spouse, Bibisara Mamedova.
The 40-year-old ambassador, who underwent a surgery on his liver in Istanbul a year ago, was undergoing medical examinations in Baku from time to time. He was taken to Germany after his condition deteriorated in the past days and passed away there, she said.
German doctors said his demise had been caused by a kidney failure.
Mamedov’s body was brought to Ashgabat from Germany last Saturday.
