Azercell launches new project
Azerbaijan`s leading cellular provider, Azercell,
launched its Barama project on September 11 to develop creative and
innovative ideas in information and communications
technologies.
Azercell Telecom LLC`s goal is not only to offer new solutions and innovations in the domestic telecommunication sector, but also to contribute to the country`s social prosperity and economic development.
In order to accomplish these goals, Azercell will establish a new office for those participating in the Barama project. The office has been set up to cooperate and support the ``Icherisheher`` State Historical-Architectural Preserve Department, operating under the Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers. The office, located in Icherisheher (Old City) and able to house nearly 20 project participants, is completely prepared with modern equipment.
A masterpiece of the cultural, historical, architectural and ethnographical legacy of the Azerbaijani people, Icherisheher came about as a result of the creative work by people who had been employed there for centuries. The administration of the state preserve pays particular attention to the support of young innovators in the ICT field, in line with the ``From Past to the Future`` concept applied to Icherisheher.
Those interested in participating in the project should fill out an application form at www.azercell.com/barama and send their ideas to Azercell, along with available supplementary documents as requested online. There is no deadline for sending ideas. The main expectation is that the submitted ideas reflect values such as creativity, innovation, social and economic benefits, and others.
Selected applicants will be offered space in Azercell`s newly established Barama office to work on and develop their ideas. As participants complete developing their ideas, they will leave the project and vacancies will be assigned to new candidates. Thus, ideas developed in the office will be continuously updated.
