YARAT, BEHANCE hold Portfolio Review Day in Baku

YARAT contemporary art organization and BEHANCE, a leading online platform for showcasing and discovering creative work, held Portfolio Review Day in Baku on November 8.
Behance is a network of sites and specialized services in self-promotion including consulting and online portfolios. It offers creative individuals an opportunity to update their work in one place and to broadcast it widely and efficiently on an international scale.
The platform seeks to remove the barriers on the way of talented people as it helps distribute their works to different online galleries, maximizing exposure and attracting millions of visitors.
The members use Behance to display their works from A to Z, get proper credit online, and connect with peers, career opportunities, and industry leaders.
Behance presents Portfolio Review Week, an unprecedented series of volunteer-organized events that has spread to hundreds of cities internationally, with the goal of bringing together creative professionals. It is held two times each year.
Since Portfolio Review Week launched in 2012, nearly 1,000 events in eighty countries have taken place around the globe - all run by our community leaders.
YARAT Contemporary Art Organization has always supported this kind of initiatives. It is working this year with Behance to hold the Portfolio Review Day that has brought together creative people from Azerbaijan: Liza Hasanova, Ramil Aliyev, Javid Guliyev, Majid Aliyev, Samir Salakhov, Subhan Manafzade, Urfan Mammadov, Kenan Nasibov, Aygun Hesenova, Emin Azizbeyli and Chingiz Ismailov.
Portfolios were reviewed and final awards were awarded by a jury composed of Jose Vincent (architect), Mirazer Abdullayev (Creative Director of “AA&M advertising”), Ilgar Tahiri (designer) and Jeykhun Imanov (Founder of ‘Jeykhun Imanov Studio’, an advertising agency).
