'The Glass House' film to be shown in Baku [PHOTO]

YARAT Contemporary Art Space will screen the film 'The Glass House', directed by Hamid Rahmanian (Iran) on June 13.
The event will be organized as an event of YARAT Film Club in collaboration with Equals association.
"The Glass House" tells about the lives of downtrodden, runaway and distressed girls who have taken refuge in a private half-way house established by a benevolent Iranian expatriate, Marjaneh Halati. Omid-e-Mehr house is a private rehabilitation center and NGO in Tehran for girls aged 15 to 25 who have nowhere else to turn.
The screening will be followed by a discussion that involves local experts on gender issues.
The film will be shown in Persian with English subtitles.
The screening starts at 19:00. Admission is free.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
It realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
