Local carmaker plans ops in Turkey
The Ganja Automobile Plant, Azerbaijan`s major
carmaker, intends to market tractors in Turkey.
In the first year, the plant is to be responsible for the sales of 300 to 350 tractors in the neighboring country, with operations to be later expanded.
However, according to existing laws, selling tractors in Turkey requires full servicing and repair of the machines. The Ganja plant plans to create a partnership with a Turkish company for servicing and repairs.
According to marketing research, 36,000 tractors a year are sold in the Turkish market, with only 8,000 to 9,000 tractors being built in Turkey.
