Azeri finance ministry predicts unchanged dollar exchange rate
The official exchange rate of the US dollar in Azerbaijan is forecast at an average of 0.79 manats next year, according to a review of the country’s 2012 draft budget drawn up by the Finance Ministry.
Crude prices are set at $80 a barrel in the state budget.
According to the projections, the average wage in the country is estimated at 432 manats ($554) next year.
The dollar is currently trading at around 0.78 manats. Azerbaijan’s Azeri Light crude is selling for $112 a barrel. The average wage made up 353 manats ($452) in January-July 2011.
