Azerbaijan offers to reduce delivery time of orders to Russia, Ukraine

Time of delivery of goods purchased through Azexport portal to Russia and Ukraine can be substantially reduced, the company said.
The proposal was sent to the postal and courier services of both countries.
“The Azerbaijani side is represented by Azerpost LLC. Cooperation of postal operators will allow reducing the time of delivery of purchased goods to 3-4 days. Currently, these procedures take about one month,” Azexport told Trend.
According to the current regulations, the goods transferred by the businessmen to Azerpost should pass the internal procedure of postal operator, which takes 10-15 days. Further, upon the order delivery to another country, it passes the internal procedure of the local postal operator within 5-6 days.
In case Azerpost supplies the goods to the country-recipient the next day, the time of its delivery to the final destination will reduce by four times.

In the first seven months of 2018, more than 3.3 million shipments weighing over 275,000 kilograms were processed in the transit center of Azerpost LLC and sent to 15 countries.
