Azerbaijani goods to easily enter China
By Amina Nazari
Azerbaijan and China will sign an agreement that will simplify export of Azerbaijani goods to this huge market through eliminating obstacles related to standardization.
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee Ramiz Hasanov, talking to reporters on May 11, said that a document on recognition of standards will be signed with the relevant Chinese agency.
The deal is planned to be signed during Azerbaijani delegation’s visit to China on May 13. The document is expected to contribute to export of Azerbaijani goods to China.
The Chinese market is new for Azerbaijan. The national production entered the Chinese market just about a year ago, and experts say that the dynamics is good enough.
Last year, the country sent trade missions to China (Hong Kong and Guangzhou), where certain agreements had been reached.
The country reached an agreement on the wine supply to China and delivered the first batch of supplies earlier this year. Under the deal, Azerbaijan will supply some 500,000 bottles of wine to the world's second-largest economy.
