Synergy Baku cyclist Matt Brammeier is still a red jersey owner, after the ninth stage of the Tour de Langkawi held in Malaysia.

Matt is looking forward to keep his mountain jersey in the 10th stage of the competition on March 8. The 10th stage is 103 kilometers long.

According to the regulations and taking into account the scores Matt collected during the tour, he will stay on the highest position after the final stage.

This will bring the Synergy project a red jersey and "the mountain king" title, which is a great success for the team. Moreover, Matt will keep this jersey and the title until the next tour.

At the ninth stage, which was 111 kilometers long, Daniel Klemme, Matt Brammeier, Elchin Asadov, Tural Isgandarov and Patrick Lane have all finished in 2:32:21 hours with the same time as the leader of the stage. The photo finisher showed Klemme stood at the 9th place at the stage.

Another success of the team this year was Sprints Classification Jersey won by German athlete Michael Schweizer at the New Zealand Cycle Classic in January.

This year, the national team will also participate in the French cycling road race, the Circuit Des Ardennes, in April and one-day tour of Almaty, Kazakhstan, in August.
