National karate fighters win gold medals in Croatia

Young Azerbaijani karate fighters have brought home a clutch of eight medals from the 26th Grand Prix Croatia held on January 13-15.
The gold medals came from Tale Yagubov, Eljan Mammadrzayev, Sahib Ahadov, Asiya Malikova and Irina Zaretska, Azertac reported.
Madina Sadigova, Farida Aliyeva and Vusal Kamalli claimed the bronze medals for Azerbaijan.
The Grand Prix Croatia is one of the best karate tournaments in Central Europe, which was once again organized by the Samobor Karate Club.
The National Karate Federation of Azerbaijan was established in 1994.
Since 1997, the National Federation became a full member of WKF (World Karate Federation), the world's largest karate organization that unites more than 50 million members of the 180 countries of the world.
Azerbaijani karate fighters took part at the European and World championships. At present, the composition of national team consists of repeated World and European champions.
