President-elect Rohani says China main priority of Iran's foreign relations
Boosting ties with China in different fields is the main
priority of Iran's foreign relations, the Iranian President-elect
Hasan Rohani said in a formal letter to his Chinese
counterpart.
Rohani went on to note that the historic relations of Tehran and
Beijing will provide the ground for future relations between the
two countries, as well as creating peace and stability in the
region, IRNA news agency reported.
Rohani was answering to the congratulation letter of Chinese
President Xi Jinping.
Iran's eleventh presidential elections were held on June 14.
Reformist candidate Hassan Rohani was officially named as Iran's
next president, scoring 50.7 percent of the votes.
