Azerbaijan to mass product RNM system
By Nigar Orujova
Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has put forward a proposal on mass production of a diagnostics and control monitoring system called Robust Noise Monitoring (RNM) in industrial parks, the Ministry reported on June 3.
Communications and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov offered the initiative during a meeting with the leadership of Institute of Information Technology of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
Abbasov said that the deployment of "Robust Noise" production stations is possible under cooperation of the ministry, Azerbaijani State Oil Company (SOCAR) and ANAS.
Institute of Information Technology elaborated a new-generation monitoring and control system using RNM technologies, which allows increasing the profitability of oil wells.
The system facilitates identifying dynamometer cards, allowing saving power by more than 50 percent.
The telemetry stations RNM was built for monitoring anomalous seismic processes, wells located at a depth of 5 meters on the island of Qum, in Shirvan, Siyazan, Neftchala, Naftalan, Nakhchivan, Gazakh regions, in the territory of Turkmenistan, Institute of Control Systems, as well as the process of receiving and processing anomalous seismic signals at these stations.
A pilot version of the Robust Noise Monitoring system was used in the 35 oil-producing facilities of Bibiheybat Oil and Gas Producing Enterprise.
The effectiveness of the system was confirmed by the SOCAR's Azneft Production Association as an appropriate system to be used in other oil-producing departments.
