Over 1,000 foreigners registered in Azerbaijan since April 1
Registration of foreigners and stateless persons by the place of residence started in Azerbaijan from April 1 after the introduction of relevant amendments to migration legislation, the deputy head of the State Migration Service (SMS) Parviz Musayev said on Thursday.
According to Musayev, over 1,000 immigrants have been registered by the place of residence and work in this direction is being continued.
Foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan by visa are being registered by SMS regional offices for the period indicated on the visa and foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan without a visa for a 90-day term, Musayev said.
Foreigners can submit filled-out application forms to the SMS by mail or in person.
