OSCE PA chief to keep rapporteur job
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Goran Lennmarker will
not turn down the mission of rapporteur on Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh
even if he resigns from his post, an Azeri parliament member
said.
Head of the Azerbaijani delegation at the OSCE PA, Vice-Speaker
Bahar Muradova said Lennmarker would hold the post for a while.
Muradova said she had no accurate information on the OSCE
official's visit to the region but did not rule out that the issue
would be clarified during the ongoing OSCE PA session to last till
July 3.
Muradova said that Lennmarker, as the rapporteur on the
Armenia-Azerbaijan Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh conflict, could visit
the region any time. She added that such a visit after the June 6
meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents in
St.-Petersburg was quite likely.
