Aliyev to join BSEC summit in Turkey
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will attend an anniversary summit of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, due in Istanbul on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
The presidents of Georgia, Romania, Moldova and Serbia are in attendance as well.
Albania and Bulgaria will be represented at the summit by their prime ministers.
Serbia and Turkey -- the BSEC co-chairs this year -- preside the 20th anniversary summit, during which regional leaders will discuss ways of expanding relations and sign the Istanbul Declaration.
During President Aliyev`s visit to the Turkish city, Azerbaijan and Turkey may sign an inter-governmental agreement on the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline (TANAP) that will carry Azerbaijani natural gas across Turkey to Europe, Reuters quoted a source in Ankara as saying.
