Turkish missile manufacturer Roketsan has begun supplies of jet-propelled missiles for Azerbaijan’s air force, the first large delivery of such weapons to the neighboring country, the Baku-based APA news agency reported.
The company will supply missiles of various calibers, the report said. The value of the contract and the date of its expiry were not reported.
Under an agreement signed by the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry and Roketsan will jointly produce 107 and 122 mm missiles. Engines for the missiles will be produced in Turkey.
