Azeri arms to be displayed in Turkey
BAKU – Azerbaijan’s weaponry will be displayed at an international defense industry exhibition to be held in Turkey from May 10-13, the Ministry of Defense Industry said.
IDEF-2011 is the sixth exhibition showcasing goods produced at the ministry’s facilities.
This year’s exhibition will display 89 types of Azerbaijani military goods, a surge compared to the one held in 2009 when the country first joined the international exhibition with 27 types of goods. In addition to the weaponry displayed at previous exhibitions, Azerbaijan this time plans to put on show its unmanned aerial vehicles, new types of firearms and ammunition.
An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister Yaver Jamalov will attend the exhibition.
Besides Turkey and Azerbaijan, the event will be joined by over 500 companies from a number of countries including the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia and France.
