Azeri FM meets CoE`s new rep
BAKU – Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met a new head of the CoE office in Azerbaijan Konstantin Yerokostopulos on Monday.
Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan is ready to further expand the cooperation with the CoE office in the country, the foreign ministry said.
The minister also briefed Yerokostopulos on peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan will not agree with current status-quo on Nagorno Karabakh issue. The conflict can be resolved only within the framework of territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan. All refugees from Karabakh must return to their lands, the minister emphasized.
Yerokostopulos said during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing relations between Azerbaijan and CoE.
