US envoy hosts officials, opposition leaders
BAKU – Newly appointed US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza on Wednesday hosted representatives of the authorities and opposition as well as heads of non-governmental organizations.
During the meeting, Bryza called on participants to cooperate with the US embassy.
The meeting was attended by Presidential Administration department heads, the Ombudsperson, deputy executive secretary of the ruling Yeni (New) Azerbaijan Party (YAP), the leaders of the opposition Musavat, Popular Front and Umid parties and of the opposition-leaning Great Establishment Party, as well as rights defenders.
