Emir of Kuwait to visit Azerbaijan
KUWAIT – Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah is planning to visit Azerbaijan soon, Trend reports.
At a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kuwait, Shahin Abdullayev, Emir of Kuwait said that he attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan and that he is confident about the further development of bilateral ties, which have deep roots.
Al Sabah described the relations with Azerbaijan as friendly and brotherly. He said Kuwait "will be always close to fraternal Azerbaijan and fruitful cooperation will continue to develop".
During the meeting, held on the occasion of the completion of the Azeri Ambassador’s diplomatic mission to Kuwait, Al Sabah thanked Abdullayev for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
For his part, Abdullayev said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the Arab Gulf countries, including Kuwait. Azeri ambassador said his country highly appreciates Kuwait’s fair stand in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Karabakh and its support for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
