Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of the newly renovated psycho-neurological social service center No 1 in Buzovna settlement, Baku.

The psycho-neurological social service center No 1 of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was established in 1974. Major reconstruction work had been carried out here by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation since 2018.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva was informed that the center offers all conditions for health and comfort of the people living here. The 217-bed center has an assembly hall, movie theater, library and canteens.

The center functions to take persons with disabilities, provide them with suitable living conditions, provide habilitation and rehabilitation services. This includes people who need social services and have not reached the stage of symptomatic psychosis.

Landscaping work was carried out, green areas were created and a variety of trees were planted in the yard of the center.

Important steps are being taken in Azerbaijan to strengthen the medical and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities who need special care.

The state involves people of this category in numerous social programs, including rehabilitation, free-of-charge recreation, and technical rehabilitation programs.

The conditions created in this institution once again prove that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation also makes a special contribution to the measures implemented in this direction at the state level.

The implementation of such projects also demonstrates that the activities carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, distinguished by its noble initiatives and projects have become sustainable.
