Envoy warns of ill-wishers for Georgia ties
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev has
said there were countries interested in disrupting relations
between the two South Caucasus republics.
Aliyev said in an interview with AssA-Irada that the relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are on the level of strategic partnership and have been continuously developing. The two countries are closely linked with firm bonds - large-scale projects.
``Nonetheless, some forces are trying to disrupt relations between the two countries. And the sides know who they are,`` Aliyev said, apparently hinting at Russia, which faces tensions with Georgia, and Armenia, Azerbaijan`s long-time foe.
``The current state of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations does not meet the interests of these countries in any way,`` Aliyev added.
