Erdogan may join Aliyev-Medvedev talks: report
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan may join
upcoming talks between Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents Ilham
Aliyev and Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow, the PanArmenian news agency
reports.
The source said that during Aliyev`s visit to the Russian capital on April 16-17, Erdogan will also head to Russia and the three leaders will hold joint discussions.
The report added that Erdogan`s visit is linked to Turkey-Armenia relations.
Recent media reports claiming that Turkey plans to open its border with Armenia have sparked an outcry in Azerbaijan. Possibly in response, President Aliyev refused to visit Istanbul, Turkey to attend a UN summit held on April 6-7. The move could be interpreted as Baku`s protest at Ankara`s border opening plans.
