Bairam Salamov's solo exhibition opens in Baku

A solo-exhibition of Azerbaijani artist Bairam Salamov opened at Museum Centre of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on July 5, Trend Life reported.

Addressing the event, Chief of fine arts and decorative art sector of the ministry Galib Gasimov and Secretary of the Union of Artists Agali Ibrahimov stressed that the exhibition allows to become better acquainted with the creativity of talented artist.

Despite Salamov spent more than 25 years of his live in Russia, the national colors and oriental motif are strongly present in his works.

It's the second solo exhibition of the artist, organized in the capital of Azerbaijan. A few years ago Baku successfully hosted an exhibition of works by the master.

The exhibition features works in different genres, including landscape, still life, subject composition, portrait. Artist's paintings captured the attention of audience with their elegance and magic of colors. Most of the paintings glorify woman's beauty.

The works put on show included fachinating paintings such as "Sunflowers", "Duet for the moon", "Bouquet of the universe", "Mirage in the desert", "The Autumn Bride", "The City of Umbrellas", "Violinist", "Masquerade", "the Flamingo Girl", and "Silence".

Bairam Salamov’s aspiration to re-create not ordinary, sometimes fantastic situations, the game and the interest in exoticism of the East can be called romantic. Original manner, especially – deepness and brightness of the color score, creating emotional energy of the painting contributes to romanticism.

Artist's works are present in the collections of Togliatti art gallery as well as in private collections in Russia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Canada, Czechia, Cyprus, Ireland, England. He also worked as a set designer in Sheki Drama Theater after Sabit Rahman.

The exhibition will run utill July 9.
