Play devoted to Balck January to be staged in Baku

An event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of January tragedy will be held in the Azerbaijani State Youth Theatre in Baku on January 20.
“My White Dove” play by Tamara Veliyeva will be staged during the event. The address of the venue is Nizami street, 72
Director of the play is Jannat Salimova, graphic designer is famous Georgian artist Shota Glurdzhidze, musical arrangement - Vladimir Neverov and choreographer - Vusal Mehraliyev.
Such famous national artist as Nasiba Eldarova, Rahib Aliyev, Tahmina Mammadova, Gunel Mammadova, Mirzaaga Mirzoyev, Eshgin Guliyev, Masuma Babayeva, Kerem Khadizada, Rovshan Abbasov, Zulfia Alhuseynova, Khalida Sharifova and others will participate at the spectacle.
Black January is the nationwide tragedy. On the night of 19 to 20 January, 1990, the Soviet Army started hostilities against Azerbaijan, without declaring an emergency situation. As a result of the crime, 132 people were killed, 612 people injured and 841 people illegally arrested. Hundreds of buildings were destroyed, the state and citizens suffered a huge material damage.
