France hosts Adila Aliyeva Int’l Piano Competition

The 9th Adila Aliyeva International Piano Competition has been held in Gaillard, France.

The competition, held every two years, is supported by the French government, AzerTag state news agency reported.

Some 36 performers out of a total of 225 qualified for the major event in Gaillard, including from France, Germany, Russia, the UK, and Azerbaijan.

The final concert was attended by the Gaillard Mayor, French parliamentarians, Azerbaijani Embassy staffers, and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

The competition was in the spotlight in France, Sweden and Russia.

Azerbaijan's Honored Artist Adila Aliyeva is the director of International Music Academy of France.
