Young Azerbaijani artist presents his works in Budapest

The opening ceremony of an art exhibition by Chingiz Mehbaliyev called "Coloring your life" was held in the Ybl Palota gallery in Budapest, Hungary, on July 9, the Baku Creative Center said.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev and Tamas Hegedus, a member of the National Assembly of Hungary and of the Hungarian-Azerbaijani friendship group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, attended the event.

In their remarks speakers noted the special talent of the artist and the importance of the exhibition for the development of social and cultural relations between the two countries.

The event was also attended by the chairman of the Hungarian Trade House in Azerbaijan Jeyhun Abdullayev, chairman of the Hungarian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society Svetlana Abdullayeva, the founders and members of Hungarian-Azerbaijani youth organizations, leaders of youth organizations of the major political parties of Hungary, local and foreign businessmen, and certainly painting and art lovers.

The exhibition, which will last until July 13, features some 30 paintings and graphic works of the artist in the surrealism genre.

Chingiz says he was born with passionate love for colors.

"I think they are part of my life. These colors changed in each period of my life, but never left me alone," he said.

27-year old Chingiz Mehbaliyev was born in Baku. His first solo exhibition was held in the Azerbaijani capital in 2007. The same year he took part and was the youngest artist in the international exhibition dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi organized by UNESCO.

In 2008 he participated in the international contest of cartoons dedicated to Molla Nasraddin, organized by Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and the international art exhibition dedicated to International Women`s Day in Turkey, organized by the international union SESAN (Serbest SANatcılar - Free Artworkers). Chingiz was admitted to the Union of Azerbaijani Cartoonists in 2008.

In 2010, he took part in an international exhibition in the city of Bartin, Turkey, and became a member of SESAN. In 2011, his work "Imadaddin Nasimi" was included in the catalog of artists of an international competition of CIS countries.
