Azeri singer nominated for Grammy awards
The Russia-based Azerbaijani singer and composer Emin Agalarov has been nominated for Grammy Awards, according to his website.
Agalarov’s "best debut" nomination was offered by well-known US film producer David Lynch. If awarded, he will become the first singer in Azerbaijan’s history to receive the award.
Agalarov is the son-in-law of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Grammy Awards are presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry.
