The awarding ceremony Trend of the Year 2018 was solemnly held in Baku.
The event took place at Park Cinema IMAX in Flame Towers on December 17, Trend Life reported.
The Trend of the Year Award, established by Caspian Events Group (Ayaz Mammadov and Tural Alakbarov), is a prize for success throughout the year in the fields of culture and art, theater and cinema, pop and folk art, television and radio, business and tourism, medicine and cosmetology , the industry of fashion and beauty, design and photo art, media, etc. Prize winners were determined by voting in social networks and media monitoring.
Trend News Agency's correspondent Vugar Imanov was named "Trending Journalist of the Year".
People's Artists of Azerbaijan Fidan Hajiyeva and Maleika Asadova, honored artists Gulistan Aliyeva and Elza Seyidjahan, head of the Center for Azerbaijani National Clothes Gulnara Khalilova, soloist of the Fikret Amirov State Song and Dance Ensemble Aydan Kamilova, TV presenter Humay Muhtarova, scriptwriter Valeh Ahmadov, singers Elnara Khalilova, Khatira Islam, Emin Badalov, Rahida Bahishova and others are among the winners.
The list of winners also includes Park Cinema, Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation and other organizations.
The host of the evening was TV presenter Azer Ahsham.
