More than 60 regions join Intellectual Game Championship

The second Azerbaijan's Intellectual Game Championship, organized by IRELI Public Association and Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports is underway in country`s regions.
With the participation of 1,400 young people, intellectual games "What? Where? When?", "Khamsa", "Find" and "Know your country" are being held in more than 60 country's regions, Trend Life reported.
Qualifying rounds took place in nine country's regions, including Sumgayit, Guba, Terter, Ismayilli, Sheki, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Lankaran and Nakhchivan. Each city or region can be represented by only one team.
The best teams will take part in the final stage, which will be held in Baku.
The event will honor the memory of the Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev. The winners will be awarded with medals, certificates and valuable prizes.
The finalists were identified in ten regional rounds.
Aran regional tour was attended by teams from Saatly, Salyan, Beylagan, Hajigabul, Shirvan, Neftchala, Sabirabad, Imishli and Kurdamir.
Young people from Saatly took the first place in "Khamsa" and "What? Where? When?" intellectual competitions.
Kurdemir team was first in "Find" competition. Young people from Sabirabad named first in "Know your country" intellectual game.
Lankaran regional tour was attended by teams from Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Yardimli, Lerik and Astara.
Lankaran team gained the victory in "Khamsa" and "What? Where? When?" competitions.
Bilasuvar team won in intellectual game "Find". Young people from Yardimli gained the victory in "Know your country" intellectual game.
Chairman of IRELI Public Union Mirgasan Seyidov said that the state pays great attention to youth, creates all the conditions for the disclosure of creative potential and the realization of their ideas.
The main aim of the project, implemented within the state program "Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021", is to develop the intellectual movement in the country, assist youth education and reveal talented young people for participation in international games.
