Minister: Azerbaijan’s international rating should be revised

By Trend
The ratings assigned by international ranking agencies to Azerbaijan don’t reflect the economic situation in the country, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told reporters in Baku as part of the fifth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia intergovernmental commission March 4.
“We don’t agree with this rating,” he said. “I believe that our rating should be revised and be at 'BBB-'. Azerbaijan should be assigned an investment rating because the country has successfully resolved problems after the economic crisis.”
Baku hosted the fifth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia intergovernmental commission March 4.
