Spain’s ACS Group to open regional office in Azerbaijan

ACS Group, one of Spain’s biggest corporations, has decided to open its Caucasus and Central Asia regional office in Azerbaijan, said the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) in a message posted on its website.
This decision was announced during a meeting between AZPROMO and ACS representatives, who visited Baku.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the establishment of relations between the ACS Group and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, as well as the prospects of exporting the Azerbaijani goods and services.
At the end of the meeting, AZPROMO and the ACS Group signed a memorandum of understanding, which envisages the continuation of bilateral cooperation.
The ACS Group, operating in various areas of economy and specialized in construction and industrial engineering, is one of the biggest industrial construction companies in the world. It was established in 1997 and has offices in Germany, India, Brazil, Chile, Morocco and Australia.
The ACS Group is headquartered in Madrid, Spain. Its CEO is Florentino Perez Rodriguez.
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Spain totaled $95.92 million in January-August 2016, some $64.87 million of which accounted for export of Azerbaijani products to Spain, according to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
