Azerbaijan`s Mammadyarov wins Shamkir Chess Tournament
Azerbaijani grand master Shahriyar Mammadyarov has become the winner of Shamkir Chess Tournament commemorating late grandmaster Vugar Hashimov, Azertac reported.
He and Italy`s Fabiano Caruana both scored 8 points, but Mammadyarov claimed the title thanks to a win over the Italian in the 8th round.
