UK trampoline gymnastics team hopes to win medals at FIG World Cup in Baku
The UK’s team would like to win medals at the FIG World Cup in
Trampoline Gymnastics in Baku, Craig Lowther, head coach of the
UK’s team in trampoline gymnastics, told Trend March 3.
Lowther said that this is his first visit to Baku, adding that he
has been impressed by the city.
“Baku is a beautiful city,” Lowther said. “We arrived last night.
Everything is great, the hotel is very nice. We haven't fully
observed the arena. But it looks great."
Speaking of the UK athletes, Lowther said the goal is to perform
all the gymnastics elements well.
"Of course, the UK’s team would like to win medals in Baku. We hope
to succeed.”
The FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics will be held at the
National Gymnastics Arena March 5-6.
Athletes from Europe, Japan, Australia and the US are to
participate in the event.
Overall, 77 gymnasts (46 men and 31 women), representing 17
countries, will participate in the tournament.
