Azerbaijan`s athlete wins world weightlifting silver
Azerbaijan`s Elkhan Aliguluzade has claimed the silver medal at the World Weightlifting Championships in Houston.
He secured the medal in the 77kg clean and jerk event.
Elkhan Aliguluzada also finished the group with a new Junior World Record Clean and Jerk, 203kg.
The old record was set by Taner Sagır (77kg, Turkey), along with the Snatch and Total Junior World Records, in the 2004 Olympic Games, AzerTac state news agency reported.
